AGI – Papa Leone XIV ha scherzato con i giornalisti, al termine dell’udienza ai rappresentanti dei media mondiali venuti a Roma per il Conclave. Incalzato da una giornalista per organizzare una partita di tennis di beneficenza per le Pontificie Opere Missionarie, conoscendo la sua passione per questo sport, Leone XIV ha subito replicato “Certo, va bene“.

“Io porto Agassi“, ha detto la giornalista scherzando, e il Papa ha replicato: “Basta che non porti Sinner“, scherzando sul doppio senso: sia perché l’italiano è il numero uno del mondo, sia perché il suo cognome in inglese significa “peccatore“.

La giornalista peruviana Paola Ugaz gli ha regalato una sciarpa di lana d’alpaca proveniente dalle Ande, tessuta da donne di comunità a basso reddito. Lui l’ha prontamente indossata e ha ribadito la sua solidarietà congedandosi con un “aspettatevi presto notizie su di me in Perù”. A un’altra giornalista, vestita di bianco, ha invece scherzato sull’abbinamento cromatico mettendosi di fianco a lei per una foto.
